Does he own a nice, functional watch? A good watch might be just the thing… It might even save his life. Tissot makes a great, rugged and modern watch. I recommend the T-Touch by Tissot. You could even have the back engraved with a personal message.

This is just an example. Several models of the T-Touch exist- ranging in price from $125-$1000. Invicta and Tag Heuer are other good options.
Chocolate! My friend who joined the army sent me a bunch of letters simply begging for chocolate all the time xD
But why not try something more sentimental? He’ll obviously be missing you and thinking of you over the Christmas period… Maybe put together a photo album or something similar, showing the fun you’ve had together over the years? It might even be enjoyable picking the best pictures to include, especially the embarrassing ones…
Hi,
I used to have a couple of soldier penpals I would send care packages to, so it’s a bit different because I didn’t know them personally, but when I was looking for stuff to send them I came across a couple of great ideas on some websites (and the packages were a big success!). Thought you might like the link.
Apparently they really like getting all sorts of fun and silly stuff like water guns and balls and frisbees and wacky string and basically anything you’d buy for a 10 year old… lol. And several of each item so they can share some of the fun with their buddies.
I mean, clearly that’s not something you’d usually get a husband for Christmas, but I guess that, being very far away from home and living in a hostile place, it somehow lifts their spirits to act like 10 year olds again!
(Oh yeah and I took “overseas” to mean Iraq or Afghanistan… but if it’s Germany or something, nevermind what I just wrote lol)
Some homebaked goods
A picture frame with a pic of you two in it
Cards
Cds
candies
watch
maybe a dvd/cd of a comedian–David Cook, Bill Engvall, Jeff Foxworthy, etc.
Personalized dog tags, put a picture of you on it so he can take them with him while he’s overseas
Maybe make him a photo album of your various memories together and send it to him. At http://www.smilebooks.com/ you can do so and you are given a lot of options and the prices aren’t at all bad.
Send him hot love coupons
