Nitro Remote Controlled Car
Remote control cars are considered toys for big boys. But the truth is, kids and adults from both sexes can enjoy the thrill of controlling a mini-machine with much power like a nitro remote-control car. Any RC car enthusiast can choose among a wide array of car models, from Ferraris to Lamborghinis and Porsches.
Nitro RC cars are different from ordinary RC cars in that they are built for speed of more than 75 mph. Therefore, these cars are perfect for racing indoors and especially great for racing outdoors. However, because of the speed, it is not an RC car designed for beginners. Only experienced racers will enjoy this type of RC car.
Remote control cars, when delivered, come assembled and are ready to use. They are usually electrically-powered but there are also those that are gas-powered, like the nitro RC cars that are run on nitro methane gas.
Nitro RC cars have many intricate parts that are seen in real cars. Some parts include air filters to prevent the entry of dirt in the engine, gears that transfer power from the engine to the car’s transmission, and carburetor adjustment screws to control the idling speed. It also comes with a pull start mechanism just like the ones found in lawn mowers. There are many other parts that make up the complex design of a nitro RC car that are too many to mention.
The enjoyment of the nitro RC car comes in the ability of the user to do precise movements with the aid of the remote control. The steering of the car can be done gently or aggressively, depending on the call of the situation. Acceleration can, likewise, be controlled. Going from zero speed to full-speed can be done with the remote control just like in real race cars in a matter of seconds.
But of course, as it is with all kinds of machines, wear and tear can take its toll on nitro RC cars. Errors and problems may occur anytime before, during and after its run. Don’t forget that with great speed may come many damages to your RC car. You and you alone will know if something has gone bad just by looking at the way it runs. Make sure, at all times, that you double-check your car before hitting the tracks especially with your nitro RC car.
The most important thing to check on would be the engine. If the car suddenly stops at mid-run, there could be a problem with the engine. You may have to replace the piston sleeve of your engine. Usually, the changing of type of fuel can have a negative effect on the general performance of your car. Therefore, it is imperative that you have a good observation of changes in smoke and engine sound.
When buying the fuel for your car, make sure you buy the fuel especially for RC cars.
Fuel for nitro RC cars is a combination of methyl alcohol, lubricants and nitro methane.
More nitro content in the fuel gives the car more power. These cars are usually more expensive. A good start would be 10% nitro. More advanced users can do well with 20% nitro.
Having some background on nitro RC cars is a must for nitro RC car owners. You should be aware of the power this little machine can generate and how it does that. Trouble shooting will not be possible if you do not know anything about the parts and their functions. If I were you, read more about this special power remote control car.

Tips for Using Gas or Nitro Powered Remote Control Helicopters
In contrast to electric helicopters, there also exist gas or nitro powered remote control helicopters that you should really check out, if you think you have it in you. Of course, the gas powered helicopters can be more work intensive, but they can also be more rewarding. You see, it is the gas or nitro powered remote control helicopters that are capable of really showcasing the best agility level and the highest, fastest flying capabilities.
At least that’s what I’ve typically found with my helicopter purchases. Either way, you can really have a ton of fun with gas or nitro powered remote control helicopters and if you don’t mind replacing their fuel when it runs out and working carefully to avoid fire when you’re setting them up for flight, you can really have a wonderful time.
I remember once helping another shopper with a gas or nitro powered remote control helicopter purchase, and they really found that they could have much more fun with this type of helicopter than the electric helicopter that they were using before then, because the electric one just didn’t respond as well to the remote control. I don’t know for sure if this is the case universally, or if this particular customer found that gas or nitro powered remote control helicopters were better than electric helicopters based on a single, isolated incident, but I do know that when I discuss which helicopter is better with other professional fliers, I typically get the same answer. Gas or nitro powered remote control helicopters are indeed more work, but they are also unparalleled in their ability to fly well.
For instance, let’s say you want to fly your helicopter further backwards than any other person and make it to the Guiness Book of World Records. Well, I have typically heard that people find the gas helicopters to last longer-the electrical charge in electric helicopters runs out before the fuel does. That said, the gas or nitro powered remote control helicopters are also much more expensive, and you do need to know that you have to restore the gas whenever it runs out, and cleaning the apparatus also takes more ingenuity and work. But of course, if you’re up for the challenge, the rewards are well worth it. Just make sure that when you purchase gas or nitro powered remote control helicopters, as with any large transaction, that you are buying from a reputable independent or commercial dealer, and you have researched the price trends in your area, so you know you’re getting the best deal you possibly can for your money.
There is little more frustrating that purchasing your first real gas or nitro powered remote control helicopter and finding out that your next door neighbor got a similar one for a lot cheaper, and is happier with it because they had money left over to take a trip out to the country and really fly it around. The choice is up to you, but if I had to choose one, I would choose the gas helicopter over the electric one!

Nitro RC Cars The Hot RC Car
The Nitro RC car or gas powered RC car is an rc car that runs on a special fuel — a mix of oil, nitro-methane and methyl alcohol.
It’s kind of like a smaller version of a top fuel dragster.
The ESP of a Nitro Remote Control car is that it is far more powerful and runs longer compared to Electric RC cars. This is definitely not your father’s rc car. They are a little more expensive than their electric counterparts – both to own and maintain.
While electric RC cars are ideal for beginners, Nitro RC cars are intended more for the serious hobbyists and racers.
Basically, a Nitro RC car has an internal combustion engine of 2-stroke or 4-stroke type. Fuel is supplied from a small tank that contains the special fuel. Regular gasoline will not work in these engines.
you start the car either with a pull start cord or with a starter box.
Just like real cars, these engines have a carburetor, air filter and other such components of the internal combustion engine. They also have the universal components like, electronic radio control, servo speed control, transmission / gear system, drive train, differentials, steering system, shock absorbers, and batteries for head lights.
Why is an RC car so special and expensive?
First, the complex engine and its components are costly, compared to the simple motor in the electric RC car. In addition, a battery for the electric car is a simple one time investment compared to the ongoing fuel costs of Nitro RC’s.
In addition, Nitro RC cars gather more dirt and grease. More running components in any system mean there will be more wear and tear.
Both these add to the maintenance cost.
However, for the sheer power and racing range, the Nitro RC cars are the leaders in RC toys.
You may choose the cars in 1/8, 1/10, 1/12, 1/20 scales as well as mini nitro RC cars. The 1/8 and 1/10 scale Nitro Remote Control cars are the most popular ones with racers and serious hobbyists.
They can be bought in most hobby stores or on the Internet for between $200 to $400.
This is definitely not a beginner’s price!
On the other hand, it’s nowhere near as expensive as a full-sized Porsche, yet it helps fulfill your racing dreams. At 60 to 100 kmph speeds, they are very definitely exciting!

FAQ – Frequently Asked Questions
What is the solution if the engine gets flooded
Remove the glow plug, crank engine so that the excess fuel flows out. It is important as to take care when performing such operations, as the fuel might leak out vertically due to pressure, so keep the area above the engine clear. What should I do if the engine overheats
Permit the engine to cool down, then gently unscrew the needle valve at 60 degrees and re-start the engine. If the weather is too cold, and the gas powered RC car does not start up, what should I do?
Turn the valve to 60 degrees and start the engine and let it warm up. After the engine is warmed up turn of the Fuel powered RC car and re-position the valve accordingly, and you should be good to go from there. It’s like warming up an old car if you live in Canada or England and you use the chalk to warm that engine of the car.
