1/12 M1A2 Abrams after Heng Long electronics conversion

Video of my 1/12 scale M1A2 abrams project, shortly after converting to Heng Long (non-S&S) electronics. Now using HL transmitter and 7.2v instead of 9.6v, suprisingly no loss of speed and MUCH easier to control. Also 2-speed instead of single. Next mods are getting rid of the crappy rubber tracks (tight, horrible binding things which slow the tank considerably) and using HL Tiger tracks and sprocket. I also have a 12v project on-the-ago using automotive relays to control the power to the engines (so as not to harm the board) – Stay tuned! View my project log here: www.hobbyhavoc.com

can i use rubber bands for my tmarui m1a2?

because some wheels have hard springs and some have soft.

VSTank specs? I dunno if their boards would be able to power this things motors…

Cool man, I’m getting one of this soon, will convert it into VStank specs.

Thanks for the comment – I have now changed the poorly-made factory tracks, and it performs much better than before.

The stock tracks were rigid rubber, and it was hard to pivot because the amount of grip would make the tracks come off, so in a lot of my videos before the latest track conversion you will see me go forward, turn, forward, turn – to keep the tracks on it.
